As you know, Anthony Burns was a real person whose trial was famous throughout the country. Click on the following links to view primary documents about the trial, the Fugitive Slave Law and other topics.
Once you get to the Library of Congresss, you’ll need to click on American Memory, then click on African American History. For a portrait on Anthony Burns, type in Anthony Burns image. There are some actual slave narrative audio files and many other fascinating documents. Have fun.

The Library of Congress archives are fascinating.
